Gabriel Sanchez is a strategic communications executive with more than 25 years of experience in messaging, coalition building, and public policy at the national, state, and local levels. He currently serves as Strategic Communications Chief for the California Department of Insurance, where he advises on integrating communications strategy with the Department's legislative, regulatory, and consumer protection priorities. He is also the president and founder of End Point Strategies LLC, a firm that helps public agencies, foundations, and advocacy organizations use communications to advance their goals.

Previously, Sanchez served as Chief Communications Officer for First 5 LA and as Communications Director for both Green Dot Public Schools and California Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez. He was part of the communications team for Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign in California and led the successful 2012 statewide campaign to reform legislative term limits.

Sanchez holds a Master of Arts in Communications from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from California State University, Fullerton. At USC Annenberg, he has taught PR 501: Advocacy Communications and currently teaches PR 250: Strategic Public Relations and Advertising: An Introduction.
