Eric Resendiz is an Emmy® Award-winning visual journalist, multimedia storyteller, and Adjunct Instructor at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where he teaches Visual Journalism (JOUR 321). Previously a General Assignment Reporter and Multimedia Journalist for ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles, Eric has dedicated his career to highlighting hyperlocal community stories and systemic issues affecting underrepresented populations across Southern California. He is also the founder of Eric Is Asking (EIA), an independent digital storytelling platform. Fluent in English and Spanish, Eric graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in Communications (Broadcast Journalism) and a Certificate in Spanish for Hispanic Media. He prides himself on serving as a trusted community bridge, mentoring the next generation of journalists to tell stories with accuracy, empathy, and visual integrity.
