Doug Dawson is vice president of global communications at Microsoft where he leads an international team of more than 100 talented professionals responsible for the execution of the company’s global communications strategy. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2015, Dawson spent 15 years at Finland-based Nokia, where he oversaw global communications strategy and deployment, financial communication and reputation management. Dawson’s international communications experience began at a boutique agency in Hong Kong, followed by agency roles in San Francisco and Toronto. Dawson holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Manitoba in his native Canada and is a member of the USC Center for Public Relations Board of Advisors.
