This annual celebration is a great opportunity for families to visit their students and get a firsthand look at life as a Trojan and all that USC has to offer. Join us for a weekend filled with enriching programs and exciting festivities!

USC Annenberg’s Trojan Family Weekend events on Friday, November 7, are listed below. Please RSVP for each USC Annenberg event listed that you plan to attend; each person attending should RSVP separately. In addition, be sure to complete the university’s registration for Trojan Family Weekend.

USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism dean’s breakfast
Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN), Alumni Plaza (Patio) and Sheindlin Forum (106), 8:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Join Dean Willow Bay, along with USC Annenberg faculty and staff, for a special breakfast gathering. Learn more about the school’s leadership in communication, journalism, and public relations, and hear how USC Annenberg prepares students to thrive as scholars and professionals in a rapidly changing media landscape.

Join Dr. Vanessa Abernathy for a conversation that will empower and educate USC Annenberg families about how to support the ups and downs of their college journey. Abernathy is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry and the behavioral sciences in the Keck School of Medicine of USC’s Department of Psychiatry and is a USC Student Health psychologist embedded at USC Annenberg.

ASC Historic Renovation Tour
USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism (ASC), East Lobby, 1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
Join USC Annenberg leaders for a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic ASC building, designed by acclaimed architect A. Quincy Jones. Learn how the school is transforming its signature spaces to create dynamic hubs that will lead us toward a new era of collaborative innovation. Guests will meet in the East lobby for the tour.

Storytelling and connection: A conversation with Michael and Isabella Strahan
USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism (ASC), Auditorium (G26), 3:00 p.m.–3:45 p.m.
Join USC Annenberg Dean Willow Bay for a conversation with Isabella Strahan, a communication major, and her father, Michael Strahan, Pro Football Hall of Famer, broadcaster, and entrepreneur. From the vantage point of a student and a media leader, they’ll reflect on Isabella’s college journey and explore how storytelling, education, and human connection are shaping the future of communication, journalism, and public relations.
