Getty House, 605 South Irving Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90005
Mayor Eric Garcetti, First Lady Amy Elaine Wakeland, and the Getty House Foundation Board of Directors invite you to a program in the Women’s Leadership Series: “Sexual harassment in the workplace: A cross-industry discussion and new protocols for Los Angeles.”
Please join us for an important discussion on the best practices for proactively addressing sexual harassment in employment as Mayor Garcetti signs an executive directive to implement new protocols for the City of Los Angeles. We will see a demonstration of MyVoiceLA, a new tool that will allow for online submissions of sexual harassment complaints, the first platform of its kind for city personnel.
Radio personality and Los Angeles Library Commissioner Josefa Salinas will moderate a panel of special guests, including Alejandra Valles, secretary-treasurer of SEIU United Service Workers West; Adama Iwu, the founder of We Said Enough and one of the Silence Breakers chosen as Time’s Person of the Year 2017; and Jessica Ladd, founder and CEO of Callisto.
Appropriate attire recommended for an outdoor event. Valet parking provided. Light refreshments will be served.
RSVPs are mandatory for attendance and identification is required. RSVP to events@gettyhouse.org by April 23, 2018.
