Robert Scheer – Above the Fold​ is a feature length documentary film about activist, journalist and USC Annenberg Clinical Professor of Communication Robert Scheer. The film underscores his unrelenting quest for the truth in any story he reports and charts the shifts in journalistic practice and platforms. From Ramparts Magazine influencing Martin Luther King Jr.’s opposition to the Vietnam War; the famous Playboy Magazine “Lust in my Heart” interview with Jimmy Carter; 10 Pulitizer nominations during his LA Times tenure; a decade on KCRW’s Left, Right and Center; and author of 6 books, Scheer’s credentials are second to none. Currently, Scheer is Professor of Communications at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Editor-In-Chief at the Webby Award winning Truthdig.com and produces his incisive, weekly interview podcast — Scheer Intelligence.
