RFA Distinguished Lecture Series: Steven J. Ross and ‘Hitler in Los Angeles’

As part of the RFA Distinguished Lecture Series, USC Retired Faculty Association presents Steven J. Ross, professor of history and director of the Casden Institute for the Study of the Jewish Role in American Life at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. 

Ross’s most recent book Hitler in Los Angeles: How Jews Foiled Nazi Plots Against Hollywood and America, was selected as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in History for 2018 and received the Richard Wall Memorial Award given by the Theatre Library Association for 2018. It has been on the Los Angeles Times Bestseller List for 15 weeks.

The first person in his family to go to college, Ross received a B.A. from Columbia University, a B. Phil. from Oxford University, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
