Prison plantation America: Film screening of ‘Ferguson Rises’

USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism invites you to a conversation about and a screening of the film Ferguson Rises and on prison plantation America, from Ferguson, Missouri to death row in Angola, Louisiana.

The conversation will be with the directors of the film, Mobolaji Olambiwonnu and Gary Tyler. Tyler was convicted at age 16, during a civil rights protest, for a murder he did not commit and received the death penalty. He was released in 2016 from the Angola penitentiary after spending 41 years in prison.
