In the past year we’ve seen journalists roughed up and even detained while reporting on immigration enforcement activity.
Knowing one’s rights as a journalist is key to protecting oneself on the job. Please join us for a webinar presentation by Jeffrey P. Hermes, Deputy Director of the Media Law Resource Center, that will cover media law as it applies to the places where journalists gather news, the tools they use, and the people they encounter, from subjects to sources to law enforcement. We will focus in particular on newsgathering rights and risks in reporting on immigration proceedings and enforcement.
