Wednesday, September 28, 2022
Noon – 1 p.m. PT
Online and In-Person
Psychedelic drugs have received a lot of recent attention due to their potential for treating a range of psychiatric disorders. In this talk, we will discuss modern approaches to therapy with classic psychedelic drugs such as psilocybin, and review the available evidence for the potential therapeutic efficacy of psilocybin-assisted therapy for mood and substance use disorders. We will also survey theories of the potential mechanisms underlying acute and enduring therapeutic effects of psychedelic drugs.
Join Frederick Barrett, from Johns Hopkins University for this September 2022 IAS Speaker Series event. This talk will be in-person and online, see the RSVP link for details.
