Students learn how to approach sensitive stories with empathy and care while understanding the emotional impact on both the subjects being covered and the journalists themselves. Best practices for interviewing trauma survivors, maintaining personal well-being, and fostering resilience in the newsroom will be covered. This session aims to promote a healthier, more mindful approach to journalism in an increasingly challenging media landscape.
