Join us for a Lunch with the Leader discussion with David Zedeck, partner and co-head of global music at UTA.

Zedeck is a partner and co-head of global music at leading global talent, entertainment and sports company, UTA. In 2017, Zedeck joined UTA as a partner and special advisor to the Board of Directors. A prominent music industry executive with a track-record of developing the careers of countless major artists Zedeck helps oversee the company’s rapidly expanding worldwide music business. He currently represents The Jonas Brothers, Lil Nas X, Pitbull, Toni Braxton, Jason Derulo, Bebe Rexha, and more. 

Over his tenure, Zedeck has spearheaded significant growth of the music division including the 2018 acquisition of Circle Talent Agency, the world’s premier independent dance music agency. He and department co-head Samantha Kirby Yoh also helped lead the 2021 acquisition of UK-based Echo Location Talent Agency. Furthering UTA’s position as a leader in the global music space, the agency’s roster now includes Kaskade, Illenium, Excision, NIGHTMRE, Wizkid, Diplo, Marshmello, Alesso, Major Lazer and more. Additionally, Zedeck has overseen multiple key hires across UTA’s global offices and oversaw the opening of UTA’s new Nashville headquarters in June 2021. During the pandemic, Zedeck’s leadership set the pace among agencies as the department successfully pivoted towards inventive opportunities for clients such as livestreams, high-profile brand partnerships and drive-in tours. 

Previously, he served as Live Nation Entertainment’s executive vice president and president of global talent and artist development since 2012. At Live Nation, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s global touring initiatives, focusing on acquiring talent on behalf of their global business units and working with the company’s officers on global development.

Earlier in his career, Zedeck worked at CAA where he represented artists including Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Selena Gomez, and Il Divo, among others.
