Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN), Sheindlin Forum (106)

Publishers of five of the world’s largest newspapers — The New York Times, The Guardian, Le Monde, El Pais and Der Spiegel — have jointly asked for all criminal charges to be dropped against Julian Assange, declaring: “Publishing is not a crime.” USC Annenberg has the honor of hosting the premiere U.S. screening of Ithaka, a documentary showcasing the struggle of Julian Assange’s family to achieve justice for the world’s most famous political prisoner and for the preservation of the First Amendment. Two hours before the screening, at 4 p.m. PST, an invitation only discussion will be hosted in the Sheindlin Forum featuring Assange’s father and brother, John and Gabriel Shipton, as well as other guests, faculty and students.
