Impact, USC Annenberg’s award-winning, student-produced documentary series, invites students, faculty and friends to its spring screening. This showcase will highlight a few of the season’s best stories. An Indigenous Life, produced by Annie Wei, takes the audience overseas to Taiwan to visit the Truku, an ancient tribe with a deep-rooted history that is being threatened by modernism. In Wonder Woman of Watts, produced by Amy Altman, we meet Desiree Edwards, the owner of a south Los Angeles coffee shop who brings the community together through food and love. And in The Kelp Initiative, produced by Colin Taylor, we look to the oceans to learn about how kelp might become a more sustainable source of energy.  Join our panel discussion with the producers, along with a reception with food and drinks to follow.
