Celebrating Philip Seib: A life in journalism and public diplomacy

Monday, May 17, 2021

9 a.m. 10 a.m. PT

Online

For years many of us have collaborated with and learned from Phil Seib as he wore various hats of scholar, journalist, public diplomacy visionary and mentor. Now is our time to celebrate him as he bids farewell to USC Annenberg, where he has served as CPD Director (2009–13), Professor of Journalism and Public Diplomacy, USC Annenberg Vice Dean (2015–16) and CPD Faculty Fellow.

Join us and a group of dear colleagues and friends as we celebrate Seib’s impact on the field of public diplomacy. Reflections from faculty, students, staff, practitioners and more will share how much he has meant to us in our work and to the fields of public diplomacy and journalism.

Join us online May 17 at 9:00am (Pacific Time) to raise a glass and contribute or listen to the toasts for his new chapter ahead. Before the event, pick up one of his many books or download his work on the CPD website. Read CPD’s “Meet the Author” interview with him here.
