Beginning with an overview of her current book project, Beyond the Kitchen: B. Smith and the Commodification of Black Women’s Cultural Work, as a segway into her vision for the Arts & Cultures Journalism Program, Kimberly Nettles-Barcelon will explore the interconnected spaces of media, food, arts, and culture in local, national, and global contexts in this presentation.
