Informational interviews are an incredible way to learn and gain insight into the career path you are interested in pursuing. That’s not all! They are also a powerful networking tool to build meaningful relationships and uncover the dream job or internship you have been seeking. As a USC Annenberg student, you are connected to an extensive community of Trojans! Join us for a productive workshop led by alumnus, Bob Gold (MA, communication management, ‘80), Founder of Bob Gold & Associates as he shares his tips to maximizing your next informational interview.
The workshop will cover:
- Goal setting
- Reaching out to ask for the informational interview
- How to ask questions that will drive your objectives
- Your story as an elevator pitch – what is it?
- Following up after the meeting
- Etiquette for reaching out to recommended new contacts
Moderated by Leticia Lozoya, director of alumni relations.
