Juan Ortiz Freuler is is a PhD student in Communication at USC, where he explores how political systems can be affected by different design choices within each layer of the internet stack. Before joining the Annenberg School, Juan held positions as a Fellow and an Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard, and as a Senior Policy Fellow at the Web Foundation, where he worked closely with Tim Berners-Lee. Prior to moving to the US, Juan developed and executed research and advocacy projects at several non-profit organizations in Argentina and Mexico. A graduate from Di Tella Law School in Buenos Aires, Juan has completed Masters degrees in both Public Policy and Social Science of the Internet at the University of Oxford.
