With more than 25 years of experience in branding, strategic communication and marketing, Melissa Robinson is vice president of marketing and communications for Boingo Wireless. At Boingo, Robinson oversees corporate communications, reputation management, B2B marketing, digital content and advertising, sales support, and employee engagement. Previously, Robinson held several senior executive roles with global agencies such as Weber Shandwick, Golin and PMK/BNC, and served as SVP, global communications and public affairs for CKE Restaurants (Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands). She has led teams to deliver award-winning work for major brands including General Motors, Verizon Wireless, Amazon, PepsiCo, Samsung, HP, Nintendo, Disney, Activision and others. Robinson began her career in Washington, D.C. where she served as a speech writer on Capitol Hill and a manager of financial communications for MCI Communications. Robinson has been an adjunct professor at USC Annenberg since 2008, and has led numerous creative workshops and executive training sessions for professional and educational groups. She received a BA in history and a teaching credential from UCLA.
