Dominic Carr leads the communications team at Lyft helping tell the story of the company’s work to improve lives with the world’s best transportation. He has responsibility for internal and external communications at Lyft, including corporate, consumer, brand, public policy, crisis, executive comms, thought leadership, and team-member comms.
Prior to joining Lyft, Carr led the global public affairs team at Microsoft for ten years and was a member of both the company’s communications leadership team and the leadership team for the corporate, external, and legal affairs function. Before leading the public affairs team, Carr held senior roles in the Windows business group, corporate communications, and Asia regional communications at Microsoft.
Carr is a communications leader with more than 25 years of experience at major multinational companies where he’s built global teams and strategic communications programs that change perceptions of businesses, brands, and issues. His experience spans strategic communications, public relations, media relations, crisis and issues management, government affairs, and corporate marketing.
He has a global perspective having lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and the United States, and managed globally distributed teams.
