What impact did your graduate experience have on your professional trajectory?

The first class I took in my graduate program sparked in me an interest in combining statistics, research and communications. It helped to land me the job of my dreams as a market research manager at a growing company.

What from your USC Annenberg education best equips you to face the challenges of your field today?

At USC Annenberg, I was pushed to think beyond what was right in front of me. I was exposed to a wide variety of communication techniques and once I found my passion for market research, was equipped with all the tools needed to achieve my goal.

What advice would you give for someone considering graduate studies at USC?

Be open to taking a different path than you may originally want to take. I didn’t know much about market research going into my time at USC Annenberg, and now I know that this is the path I want to pursue.

What is the one thing that a USC Annenberg student ought to take advantage of while enrolled?

The professors. USC truly has some of the best, most thoughtful and knowledgeable professors out there. Do not just go through the motions. Dig deep and ask questions.
