Where are you from and what were you doing before enrolling in graduate school?

I grew up in Southern California; I lived in Orange County for most of my life but lived in Los Angeles for over 12 years.

How did you learn of the degree program and why did you choose USC Annenberg?

I learned about the program since Annenberg is highly recognized across the region and country. I was drawn to the program because I felt it would equip me with numerous skills that were very relevant to the evolving media landscape. I liked that I would be able to deepen my writing skills while at the same time learning about audio journalism. I was also drawn to my program’s focus on arts and culture, overall course offerings, and the flexibility of this program.

What have you enjoyed the most about the degree program?

What I have enjoyed most about the program is the way it has allowed me to explore the numerous mediums and approaches to storytelling. I have also really enjoyed the expertise and knowledge both my professors and colleagues have brought to the classroom. Furthermore, what has made the experience very enriching has been our advisor’s guidance and support throughout the journey.
