Doug Dawson

Doug Dawson is the General Manager of Global Communications at Microsoft where he leads a talented team of professionals responsible for the company’s global communications strategy, financial communications, owned channels, community and issues management. A 25-year veteran of corporate communications, prior to joining Microsoft in 2015, Doug spent 15 years at Finland-based Nokia, where he oversaw global communications strategy and deployment, financial communications and reputation management. Doug’s international communications experience began at a boutique agency in Hong Kong, followed by agency roles in San Francisco and Toronto. Doug holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Manitoba in his native Canada.
