In your final semester, you will work in a small team of students applying the skills you acquired in the degree program to create a working online community. Teams are advised by an industry expert who is creative, visionary, technically adept, dedicated, and knowledgeable about the substance and process of online communities. USC Annenberg provides $10,000 to finances these projects, while students retain ownership of the final product. You are encouraged to use this working product for research or to enter industry.
Previous projects have included a social network for people who want to complain, an engaging site and app that helps people find dog friendly places to visit with their pets, and a social networking site that allows journalists and other content creators to share their video and collaborate on visual content.
