Norman Lear Center director Marty Kaplan
On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Norman Lear Professor of Entertainment, Media and Society Marty Kaplan will join Tom Brokaw in a conversation about his new book, The Time of Our Lives: A Conversation About America. According to Kaplan, "Brokaw breaks down his conversation into crucial questions about the way we live: Can we be satisfied with less? Can’t we as individuals do more for our communities? What is the meaning of higher education on a global level, and what does it mean financially for the elite as well as for the non-elite? What is the real meaning of 'friend'?" The event will take place at The Writers Guild Theater, 135 South Doheny Drive, in Beverly Hills. Tickets are $20, and guests may RSVP here.
