Join Professor Miki Turner for a conversation on developing good sources and honing your news judgment with Daniel Vasquez, an award-winning columnist who recently relocated to Southern California after resigning from the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, has covered crime, courts and gangs during his 20-year career. Vasquez has worked for the San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland Tribune, San Jose Mercury News and Boston Globe. As an editorial writer for the Mercury News, Vasquez co-produced a year-long series on ethics in city government called “Money and Influence.” The series won national, state and local awards and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize
