A Doctoral Candidate in the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, I research higher education student activism, with a focus on students doing abolitionist work. My dissertation focuses on how abolitionist student activists engage both digital and analog alternative media to do the political education work they find the university failing to do, to produce a future they desire to live in. My research broadly draws upon education, carceral studies, cultural studies, and activist media to understand the role of education in creating a more just society.
