Africa–U.S. forum on global health, public diplomacy, and international collaboration, featuring the 2025 – 2026 USC African senior fellows in global health communication leadership

The USC Center on Communication Leadership and Policy will host the USC senior fellows in global health communication leadership as they present progress reports on their projects currently underway in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, and South Africa. The fellows include a Malawian member of parliament, a Kenyan researcher specializing in HIV and aging, the editor-in-chief of Bhekisisa, and the One Health lead at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
The event will be held in a hybrid format, both in person at the GW Elliott School of International Affairs’ Lindner Family Commons and online on Thursday, March 26, 2026, 6 – 8 a.m. PT / 9 – 11 a.m. ET. It is co-sponsored by the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health; the GW Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication; the Public Diplomacy Council of America; the Center for African Studies at Howard University; and the African Centre for the Study of the United States at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), South Africa.
