The future of sports media: 3rd down and buffering?

Thursday, November 9, 2017 - 6:30pm to 9:00pm Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN)

The way we watch sports is constantly evolving. The question on the table is how will sports media adapt to changes in technologies and viewership habits? Sports media owns the last vestige of cord-connected viewership, so how will it adapt to cord cutting? Additionally, changing political and social landscapes are now more prominently featured in sports than ever. How will the likes of ESPN and FS1 (among others) address these market upheavals?

Next week join USC TEN and the USC Annenberg School of Communication as we host a panel with some of the top minds in the business to discuss what the future holds for how you will keep tabs on your favorite teams. RSVP now because space is limited!

Shelley Smith, ESPN Reporter and Annenberg Professor
Hilary Guy, Producer for ESPN (Sportscenter)
Jacob Ullman, FOX Sports SVP of Production and Talent Development

This panel will be moderated by USC Annenberg Professor of Sports, Business and Media Jeff Fellenzer.
