Yunwen Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in health communication and technology. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction in healthcare, as well as attitudinal and behavioral factors that influence technology adoption. She received her bachelor's degree in Communication from University of Macau, Macau SAR of China, and her M.S. in Communication from Purdue University. Her master's thesis examined factors associated with mobile fitness app adoption. Her doctoral dissertation studies the role of gamification (e.g. exercise games) in promoting physical and mental health. In addition to the passion for research, she has worked as a health journalism intern, a freelance audio editor, and a photographer. She enjoys analog photography, volunteer activities, and nature.
