The University of Southern California Presidential Medallion is the University's top honor, only awarded to members of the USC community who have "brought honor and distinction to the campus." This year, the Presidential Medallion was awarded to Professor Manuel Castells, the Wallis Annenberg Chair of Communication, Technology, and Society.
Castells was presented with the Medallion by USC President C. L. Max Nikias earlier this month at the 35th Annual Academic Honors Convocation, which honored student and faculty achievements.
