Daily Trojan highlights millennial talk at USC Annenberg

 
Student media organization the Daily Trojan highlighted a USC Annenberg lecture titled "Privacy, Entertainment and the Millennial Generation."
 
Morley Winograd, senior fellow at the school's Center on Communication & Leadership Policy, and Geoffrey Cowan, dean emeritus, spoke to a group of students Tuesday on the millennial generation's adherence to the notion of collective action.
 
"Winograd honed in on how millennials are incapable of making decisions for themselves. Most students in the room agreed they would rather read a review on movie-rating website Rotten Tomatoes than trust a movie review in a newspaper. Some said that they would choose Rotten Tomatoes because it incorporates a group of opinions versus newspaper articles," the article read.
 
Winograd, author of an e-book titled "Millennial Majority," also spoke to students on social media privacy.
 
“You’re the generation most willing to trade off privacy for benefits,” Winograd said.
