Center on Public Diplomacy hosts panel about diplomacy since 9/11

On Sept. 8, with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 a few days away, USC Annenberg's Center on Public Diplomacy hosted a panel discussion about the effects of U.S. diplomacy since the fall of the twin towers.

Led by journalism professor and director of the Center on Public Diplomacy, Philip Seib, the panel included Dean Ernest J. Wilson III, university professor and Center on Communication Leadership & Policy director Geoffrey Cowan, communication professor Jerrold Green, international relations professor Laurie Brand and Najla al-Awadhi, a former member of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council. The Daily Trojan quoted Seib: "The diplomatic issues are complex...U.S. public diplomacy in fits and starts has had a lots of good intentions, but the problems are related to policy follow-ups.”
