Floto receives Parents Association award

The USC Parents Association has recognized public relations professor Jennifer Floto (pictured) as one of three recipients of its annual Teaching and Mentoring Award, which honors faculty members who have inspired students to achieve both in and outside of the classroom. The award, and the $1,000 honorarium that comes with it, is given to professors selected by USC parents and students. "I've always considered Professor Floto to be one of the best teachers I've had," said Ross Thelen, a senior PR major. "She has taught several of my classes over the years and now, as graduation nears, I feel confident that she has prepared me for real work in the public relations industry." Other Annenberg faculty nominated for the award include adjunct professors Larry Londre, who was one of five to receive an honorable mention, and Alan Mittelstaedt, and communication professor Stacy Smith. The four professors will be recognized during Trojan Parents Weekend in October.
