All But Dissertation


Emma Frances Bloomfield graduated from Northeastern University Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Advocacy and Rhetoric with minors in Spanish and International Affairs. Her thesis examined the value statements in presidential announcement speeches. She is currently interested in argumentation, rhetorical criticism, and the intersection of religion and science in the public sphere surrounding issues of the body and the environment. Her dissertation looks at the history of religion and science and how contemporary groups and people are grappling with modernity.
