M{2e}’s Women’s Leadership Society invites you to join a discussion with Alyssa Santoro (Marketing Manager, YouTube Red at Google) titled “Be your best self, and then be better: Lessons and tips on navigating the competitive field of entertainment.”

A meaningful and satisfying career in the entertainment field often appears like how Mars is to earth, a planet far away. It’s hard to reach, but once you’ve landed it’s now your new world within which you must learn to survive and to thrive. Entertainment is similar to other professional sectors, competition is high and being noticed can feel impossible. However, there are actions you can take to be exceptional and shine above the rest. This discussion will focus on landing your first position in entertainment, thriving once you’re there and blossoming your career.

In her current position, Alyssa Santoro is a Marketing Manager with YouTube Red at Google. Prior to her present role, she worked as a Social Media Manager in the Digital Marketing division of Warner Bros. Entertainment Group. Alyssa is an alumna of the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism (AB ’12, Communications major/Marketing minor).

The Women’s Leadership Society (WLS) at USC Annenberg M{2e} provides support for female professional advancement at the intersection of technology, media and entertainment.

This is the second installment in WLS’s Spring 2018 Young Professionals Speaker Series.
