Join Annenberg Family Chair Geoffrey Cowan and School of Journalism Director Geneva Overholser in welcoming Barbara Matusow in a conversation with friends and colleagues about the life and legacy of her late husband, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jack Nelson. From covering racial inequality and the civil rights movement in the South to leading the Los Angeles Times’ coverage of the Watergate scandal, Jack Nelson’s storied career was defined by a dedication to exposing corruption and social inequality. Nelson passed away in 2009, leaving behind an unfinished memoir, recently completed and published by his wife and fellow journalist Barbara Matusow.
Join Matusow, along with friends and colleagues for a discussion of Nelson’s life and journalistic legacy. Copies of Scoop will be available at the event.
