The Knight Digital Media Center, in partnership with National Public Radio, is hosting a four-day summit with managers from the top public radio stations, including KPCC, WNYC, WBUR and KQED. The goal is to provide a shared understanding of transformative opportunities and choices for a digital multimedia news platform. Discussion topics will include “best practice” examples of successful initiatives and projects learned from the frontlines of public media news organizations, the expanding landscape of social networking and the impact of audience participation in public media. Speakers include forecaster Paul Saffo, who has researched long-term technological change and its impact on business and society, and Paul Jacobs, a radio marketer specializing in generational marketing, sales development and research.
