El Centro Chicano

El Centro Chicano is an organization at USC that aims to create a community of Chicana/o, and Latina/o leaders that think critically and are socially conscious.  El Centro Chicano offers students support in all aspects of life from personal to academics.  El Centro also advocates for students.  They challenge the USC community to become aware of the issues of ethnic diversity in the Latino/a community, as well as the issues facing the Latino/a community.  El Centro also provides students with assistance beyond USC programming.  El Centro Chicano hosts the Black and Latino New Student Symposium to help ease the transition to life as a Trojan. They also host the Chicano/Latino Graduate Celebration, where students can experience a culturally unique way to graduate from USC.
