Prawit Thainiyom is a PhD Candidate at USC Annenberg and a Fulbright scholar from Thailand. For the past 12 years, Prawit has focused his professional and academic career on strategic communication management, international development, and global health. He previously worked for companies such as Ogilvy, Education Development Center Inc., and MTV Networks, where he managed various international health and social change programs on a range of issues such as human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, youth workforce development, post disaster development, and ICT4D in over 12 countries across Asia. He is an expert in designing, monitoring, and evaluating programs. Prawit also has experience in delivering capacity building workshops for students and professionals on research methods, media campaigns, entertainment education, social marketing, social movements, inter-organizational collaboration, social media, and communication technologies. Prawit was recently a Monitoring & Evaluation Manager for a $15 million USAID project on youth workforce development in Southeast Asia. He is completing on his dissertation, a USAID research grant, on exploring human trafficking prevalence, prevention knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors in Indonesia.
