Center for Health Reporting covers earthquake safety in hospitals

Deborah Schoch, a reporter working with USC Annenberg's California HealthCare Foundation Center for Health Reporting, wrote the Whittier Daily News article "Hospitals stand on shaky future."

The article states: "Today, nearly four years after the initial deadline passed, more than 30 buildings at 9 San Gabriel Valley and Whittier area hospitals are rated at a 'significant' risk of collapsing and posing a danger to the public after a strong earthquake, according to regulators' reports and records obtained under the state's Public Records Act."

The Center for Health Reporting pairs journalists working at USC Annenberg with reporters from media outlets to produce reports analyzing health issues in communities across the state.
