Talia is a Trojan who could have never predicted her career. She graduated from Annenberg in 2003 with a Broadcast Journalism degree and a job producing weekend morning news at KCRA in her hometown of Sacramento. That was the start of more than a dozen years in newsrooms across the country, taking her from California to New York and an opportunity at NBC WeatherPlus. There Talia dipped her toes in digital before jumping over to help launch the Fox Business Network. She covered the global financial crisis and ensuing recession and spent more hours in a control room than she’d like to count. No surprise, when CNN called she was ready for a change and moved to Atlanta to help reimagine HLN. Thanks to good timing and good old fashioned networking Talia transitioned into Talent Acquisition a couple years later. The move brought Talia and her family back to New York where she led a team of Recruiters hiring digital, editorial, technical and creative positions across CNN Worldwide. She is now beginning another adventure at Netflix. For Talia it is a new industry but a familiar city: Los Angeles. She will be working from the Hollywood office helping the company build its content teams. Talia is thrilled to be back in California with her husband and young son, who is undoubtedly her greatest accomplishment to date.
