Ricky O’Bannon, ‘13

Posted January 14, 2015

O’Bannon is the first-ever journalist-in-residence fellow, working full-time at the Baltimore Symphony. He produces several stories a week for “BSO Stories,” a new and separate section of the orchestra’s web site. His infographic comparing data that he gathered from 22 of America’s leading orchestras was the subject of much national buzz (Alex Ross of The New Yorker picked it up, as did the Minneapolis Star Tribune and many other national media outlets). The Washington Post’s arts business reporter wrote the following story about O’Bannon and other embedded arts journalists, an idea that originated out of USC Annenberg’s arts journalism programs. http://wapo.st/1uhgDcp
