Biswagit (Theo) Mazumdar

Theo Mazumdar holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and master’s degrees from Columbia University and the University of London. He studies politics in the new media, with an emphasis on international affairs and public diplomacy in the current information environment. Theo also has as research foci journalism studies and media effects. Some of his recent projects have examined Israeli cyber-diplomacy, journalists' use of YouTube clips in their coverage of the Syrian uprisings, media framing of new technology in the Egyptian revolution and journalists' use of Twitter in their Occupy Wall Street reportage.
