Ryan Gillespie

Ryan Gillespie is a PhD Candidate and Assistant Lecturer in the Annenberg School. His broad area of study is morality, public culture/public sphere studies and informal logic/argument, with underlying interests in meatethics, the rhetoric of economics and critical-cultural theory. He has presented at regional, national and international conferences and has been published several times, with topics ranging from religion in contemporary liberal democracies to subjectivity and resistance under global capitalism, and on figures ranging from Heraclitus to Marx. Ryan graduated magna cum laude from USC, earned his M.A. from Sacramento State, and previously held adjunct faculty positions at two community colleges.
