Tisha Dejmanee has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales, where she graduated with First Class Honors and the University Medal in Linguistics and Women’s Studies. Her research interests lie at the interface of feminist theory – particularly theories of the body, postfeminism, and gender identity and construction – and digital technologies – including social networking sites, online communities, online identities, transmedia storytelling and theories of technology.

She has worked and volunteered extensively in the non-profit sector in education and communications roles, including the Environmental Defender’s Office NSW; Greenpeace Australia-Pacific; the Liberal Women’s Brain Pool in Mongolia; and founding the grassroots community project Bagbusters for which she was named NSW Young Environmental Lawyer of the Year.
