Jim Murray: The Times and Words of the 'King of the Sports Page'

The USC Annenberg Institute of Sports, Media and Society is pleased to present, Jim Murray: The Times and Words of the 'King of the Sports Page,” discussing the career and legacy of Pulitzer Prize winning sports journalist, Jim Murray. Join Dan Durbin, Director of the USC AISMS, and special guests on the panel Linda McCoy-Murray, Jim Murray's wife, Bill Caplan, Member of the Boxing Hall-of-Fame and friend of Murray, Steve Bisheff, ESPN Writer and Longtime Sports Journalist, Tom LaBonge, Los Angeles City Councilman, and Steven Travers, Author of "The Poet: The Life and Los Angeles Times of Jim Murray to discuss Murray's years of award-winning writing for the Los Angeles Times and the impact of his work on sports and sports journalism.  A book-signing will follow in the east lobby.
