Drawing Conclusions: The Editorial Cartoon Annenberg Room 207 and 2nd Floor West Lobby | |

This exhibit, which is open for viewing in
USC Annenberg's Second Floor Gallery and Room 207 from
October 24 to May 13, 2013, is composed of 54 individual editorial cartoons and illustrations chosen by the curator for their ability to incite, educate and inspire.
Curator
Dwayne Booth, aka
Mr. Fish, selected the cartoons and illustrations for their ability to energize the contemplative or jeering side of uncensored free expression, to educate those unaware of the art form’s storied past and to inspire belief in the future of the cartoonist’s job to both test and deepen the integrity of our democracy. Additionally, 16 of the nation’s most celebrated cartoonists were asked to contribute several of the cartoons they are proudest of having created, plus works of other artists who most influence their creative process.
This event is co-sponsored with the Annenberg School of Communication and
The Future of Journalism Foundation, a project of Community Partners. FJF is a nonprofit organization looking at the changing landscape of journalism, including the elimination of staff cartoonist positions at hundreds of periodicals.
