South LA Democratic Spaces
Annenberg 2nd Floor East Lobby

This collaborative multimedia storytelling investigation reveals 15 democratic spaces and places in South LA through the eyes of local community organizers and advocates. These sites encourage positive social change, promote advocacy efforts, and serve as building blocks for community-based social movements.

An opening reception will be held on September 27, to mark the launch of the exhibit. As part of the opening reception, the community organizers and advocates will share how their work contributes to making South LA a more democratic place in which residents live and work. For more information and to RSVP for the event, click here.

The public exhibition will be on display for free, public viewing from September 27, 2012 through mid-December 2012. For more information, please visit www.metaconnects.org or call 213.740.1260 or e-mail George Villanueva at govillan@usc.edu.
