Watchdog Journalism Training Workshop

USC's Annenberg School of Journalism, in partnership with
Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) and the Online News Association, present a “Better Watchdog Workshop” with a digital twist. Learn skills necessary for reporters who want to dig deeper, navigate the Web better, mine social sites, bulletproof stories, negotiate for information and be more efficient while producing quality work. Session topics include: “The art of finding and cultivating sources using social networks,” “Covering the economic crisis,” “Building investigations off the beat” and “What to do with all that data on the Web?”
RSVP requested. IRE is waiving the $20 student registration fee to the first 10 sign-ups. Interested students must register with Sophie Lafferty by April 13 by emailing her at
